I liked the breakfast buffet, but the options were limited to cold food. I thought the location was excellent. The hotel is located on the backside of the bus depot. Above the depot are two floors of mall shops with a food court. Over all I found Montevideo to be walkable. Even at night on a side street, I never felt like my safety was in jeopardy. Italy Avenue goes between the hotel and the airport.

The staff were friendly and the bed was very comfortable. It was also a perfect location for me, being near the bus station, as I was passing through Montevideo. A good choice for what I needed.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The location was perfect after arriving on the bus and also for catching a bus the next morning. I also could walk to the Estadio Centenario, which was a plus!

Nice hotel, best strategic location (close to the Central Bus Station). Nearby the mall and a lot of supermarkets and restaurants. Best quality/price ratio! Good facilities, somehow vintage. Very clean. Very helpful and nice staff. Good place for a bus transfer.

A couple of minutes walk to the bus terminal (which is modern, with 24hr supermarket, shopping mall and food court attached). Spotlessly clean and comfortable room as well as access to spa and gym. The staff was always very polite and professional.

Wonderful room and location. Happy that Alvear Hotel was not able to debit my account and canceled my reservation. Was the way to book here. I liked the espresso in the morning served by reception. Great courtesy

Location. As well as just across the road from the bus station, only a 5 minute walk to the CE1 bus which shuttles frequently to the old town and shopping street. Everything good.

I stayed just for a night because I arrived very late at coach station and had to leave early to take a flight, then location was great for me, but not if you want to visit the city centre. Beds are really comfy. View from the room was amazing. In general room was fantastic.

I was flying the next day so the location by the Tres Cruces bus station informed my choice. The staff were very helpful. Great view of Montevideo from the dining room.

Property is right by the big bus station making it very convenient if you are going to Colonia de Sacramento the next day. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well.
